I will getting some of this brand to use on me and Sam also

Mandi x

I had a lengthy conversation with today and the diatom from www.diatom.co.uk is absolutely fine.

Cannot speak for other companies but there is no problems with this brand at all. I have started Sam on 1/2 tsp a day

According to the website: when used to get rid of insect pests it kills pests by

lacerating them and they dehydrate and die.

The food grade they say has a scouring action, too (reminds me of Vim!). I

should like to know how many people have used it and for how long - becasue if

it does cause any bleeding in the intestine through being so sharp (they say it

cuts up larger parasites in the gut)I suppose there might be a risk of anaemia

in the longer term? Have people with inflamed or ulcerated guts taken it?

It would be interesting to hear how you get on with it. I assume you are not

starting with the 900kg size? (grin)

Hi Tahira,

If your child is on Sodium Valproate..anything with Hydrogen peroxide contradict

the medication, it is written in the pamphelet..So ,even Oxypowder is not

right..

Hi!

I am correcting myself.The information for sodium vaLProate says;

antacids containing Magnesium and aluminum hydroxides contradicts with the

medication.

Sorry, if I have made a mistake..Perhaps a biochemist tells the difference..

Back in 2006 I was told by a leading nutritional practitioner that they

understood it was not possible to take an under-18 for a colonic in this country

for legal reasons. I haven't heard of anyone taking their child for a colonic -

but I suppose people wouldn't want to advertise it if they were.

Tahira,

The nutri centre clinic takes children and I know of one in Manchester that does

too.

Also you can buy a home kit from www. Detoxyourworld.com

We have all been using it here.

Def not a chelating agent. And te only thing it did was cause stomach cramps the

first few times we all used it.

Sam is now going to the loo three times a day with no other form of laxative at

all.

We love it and can't see why people aren't using it. It makes the kids poo!!!!!

Yes, I started using diatom about 2 weeks ago - started with myself and my

eldest. My eldest is extremely sensitive so I started her off with 1/8 tsp per

day - she's now taking 1/4 tsp. I've worked up to 1/2 tsp per day. No cramping

to report as of yet.

*Gross alert* :) About a week and a half in my daughter had tons of nasty

looking poop - some covered in a gelatinous substance - looked biofilm-y to me.

Glad this stuff is coming out!!

Why do you use it? We don't have issues with poo, my son goes usually twice a

day. Does he need it then?
