Guest guest
This is a very interesting report Neetu. I like the idea of holding off for at least one round of chelation. Guest guest
Hello everyone, this question goes to Stan or whoever knows about valtrex. My son has been on valtrex for about 12 days now. At first , he got a rash and then that went away. Since then, he has been more moody and it seems like his skin is more sensitive. He refuses to wear and a shirt and it seems like he doesnt want to be hugged as much as he used to. He has never tried to take off his shirt before the valtrex, and now it seems like it bothers him. Is this related to valtrex or could it be yeast. We havenot seen any positive gains, should I keep it up or throw in the towel? He seems like his moods are worse and I cant tell what it is from !!! Any help on this , I would appreciate. Thankyou, Rena
Guest guest
Rena, Not Stan but... The healing regression stage can last until 41 days. I think if you had any results, which it sounds like you did, you should continue. Although most people have to be on a yeast protocal. Stan's favorite is Diflucan. I believe you are the one who also has an anti inflamatory on board. Maybe some of those sensory issues have to do with that. I still haven't figured out why some are using the steriods with the valtrex. Nonetheless I would stay the course with the valtrex for at least 41 days. Just a Mom, not a Dr. and most of my valtrex info has come from Stan and the wonderful parents on this sight. Good luck, > >Date: Sat Mar 04 08:29:35 CST 2006 >To: mb12 valtrex >Subject: valtrex question >Hello everyone, this question goes to Stan or whoever knows about >valtrex. Guest guest
Thankyou for your help. I have a question about how everyone is giving the valtrex if they cant swallow a pill. I bought one of those pill cutters/crushers. I then put it in a medicine spoon and pour juice in it, shake it up and give it to him. The problem is alot of the valtrex gets stuck at the bottom and sides of the medicine spoon, so I am not sure if he is getting the full dose. How is everyone else giving it? Also , do you think I need to ask my doctor to increase his dosage to 250 3times a day instead of 2 times a day. We are only on the anti-inflamitory for 21 days. We are almost done with it, maybe I will see some positive results when its done, thanks again. Rena valtrex question>Hello everyone, this question goes to Stan or whoever knows about >valtrex. Guest guest
Rena, From what I have read.. People are crushing the pill (after they remove the blue dye!) and putting it in juice. Shake the juice well, let it sit for 10 mins and then shake again. Supposedly 3xday is for longer sustainment. Why are you using a steriod at all, may I ask??- > >Date: Sun Mar 05 08:24:21 CST 2006 >To: mb12 valtrex >Subject: RE: valtrex question >Thankyou for your help. Guest guest
Hi Rena, What I do is use a pill cutter to halve the pill. Then I wash the blue dye off. Then I use my mortar and pestle to grind it into a fine powder. And I just add it to their liquid vit/min supplement and use and oral syringe to administer it. HTH, > > Thankyou for your help. Guest guest
It's possible that the first rash you saw was detox and the irritation right now is yeast and the associated autoimmune response to it. My guess is you are not on an antifungal and I would get an Rx for Diflucan or at least start an antifungal strategy. Having a yeast flare doesn't feel good and I can remember what it's like for my skin to feel irritable from yeast and an immune system response. It's not fun. - Stan > > Hello everyone, this question goes to Stan or whoever knows about > valtrex. My son has been on valtrex for about 12 days now. Guest guest
One more thing: The good news is you probably killed off something and had some detox so once you get the fungus under control you should be doing better. - Stan > > Hello everyone, this question goes to Stan or whoever knows about > valtrex.
