I agree 100%, Jen - that's why I didn't do the last 5 CLX workouts when I was done with Noel; my heart just wasn't in it anymore, though I think it's a fantastic program and I did get stronger from it!

S90D does look to be a shorter workout.  The warmup was a bit ballistic so I think I'll do other cardio in place of the warmup and same with the stretch at the end, because I need more.

 

   Thanks !  It's getting hard for me to stick with CLX though because I'm sick of seeing the same people and doing basically the same thing...I WILL finish this rotation though!  But next time I'm only doing a month of each program and then I'm switching!

Three months is huge to stick with a rotation!  I've done it three times.  Twice with STS, and once with CLX.  Very tough!  The month-long rotations are much more do-able... or I can handle 6 weeks too :)

   Thanks !  It's getting hard for me to stick with CLX though because I'm sick of seeing the same people and doing basically the same thing...I WILL finish this rotation though!  But next time I'm only doing a month of each program and then I'm switching!

I'm not sure if you've mentioned before, but I've read that it's the same warmup and cooldown for each workout.  Another reason to do your own!

Yea I just previewed the S90D workouts, just to see how long they are and most of them are around 30 to 40 minutes, except for Back and BI's which is 55 minutes, including warm up and cool down. I think I will follow your lead and go for a walk as my warm up...I might even do that today when I do Lean Circuit 1. Maybe that will help my dread factor concerning CLX....? I don't mind the stretch at the end but I HATE HATE the same boring warm ups! Are you going to follow S90D to the letter or are you going to change things up in a month? Jen

I agree! I have stuck w/ the FIRM for almost 90 days but I keep switching Phases so I have a different instructor and different exercises every 3 weeks, which seems to be ok.

In thinking through doing P90X, I'm not sure I can do it for 90 days, so I'll take one phase at a time! :)

When Power 90 came out years ago I did it for 60 days straight then I couldn't take it any longer. I made a mistake though because I didn't switch to cardio and circuits 3-4. Next time I do it I won't be doing it for the full 90 days but I will definitely switch to 3-4 sooner! Jen

Agreed.  The fun thing about S90D is that you do do different dvd's each month, kind of like the phases in P90X.   I guess that's part of the " muscle confusion " principle.STS... wow.  Do you by chance have the rotation schedule for STS, Darcy?

 

    When Power 90 came out years ago I did it for 60 days straight then I couldn't take it any longer.  I made a mistake though because I didn't switch to cardio and circuits 3-4.  Next time I do it I won't be doing it for the full 90 days but I will definitely switch to 3-4 sooner!

No, I don't have the schedule .  The disks are all numbered, so it makes it pretty easy to know what's next..LOL..I'm wanting to try S90D, but I'm looking at shortening it up to a month rotation.
