Vitamins 2nd Opinion Needed

Hello,

I would greatly appreciate a second opinion on my son's vitamin

protocol.

We've had the blood allergy test results and have been

GFCFSFEF for a month with great results. Our new DAN doctor

recommended vitamins/supplements while we wait for

additional tests to come back.

Here are my questions/concerns:

1. She recommended 2 supplements which have soy in them.

The Coenzyme uses soy oil and isn't Lecithin (soya) made from

soybeans as well? And the Coenzyme label says not intended

for use by persons under the age of 18. Since he is only 2 years

old and has a high soy allergy, he shouldn't take these, correct?

2. Between the multi-vitamin and the Effer-C, my son would be

getting about 1650 mg of Vitamin C, and CSB recommends up

to 1000 mg of Vitamin C. Is the 1650 mgs too much?

3. She originally didn't include cod liver oil but added it once I

asked it. Are there others we should be taking? Some that she

has recommended that we shouldn't be taking?

4. I haven't opened the softgels yet, but do you just puncture the

capsule to mix the contents with his food? At age 2, he can't

swallow pills yet. Is another form than softgels another option?

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Here's the list of what she recommended with the dosage:

- Nutri-E 400 - Vit E 400 IU - 1 softgel, 2x day

- Q-Sorb - Coenzyme Q-10 75 mg - 1 softgel, 1x day

- Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg. - 1 cap, 1x day

- Lecithin (Soya) Granules - 19,400 mg - 1 tsp, 1x day

- Taurine 500 mg. - 1 cap, 1x day

- Kirkman Magnesium 1/2 tsp 2x day

- Kirkman B-Complex 1/2 tsp 2x day

- Effer-C Vitamin C 1175 mg 1/4 tsp 2x day

- Malic Acid 600 mg 1 cap 2x day

- Kirkman Probiotic Gold 2 at bedtime

- Omni Jr. Multi vitamin/mineral 3x day

- Cod Liver Oil 1/2 tsp, 2x day

Our son is 28 mos. and weighs about 27 lbs.

Thanks,

Malinda
