Guest guest
Hi! Have no fear! Rest assured! Take a deep breath and say, " Dr. Z is great! " Dr. Z has done a lot of DS surgeries, and my best friend, Joanne, had Dr. Z and says she wouldn't have had anyone else, including Dr. K. Basically, Dr. K has trained Dr. Z, and Dr. K assists all of Dr. Z's surgeries and vice versa. So, you get both for the price of one! So, start breathing again, and relax, and be thankful that there are wonderful doctors such as Dr's K and Z. Jim I am a bit concerned. I thought my surgery was with DR K. However, it looks to me like DR Z may be doing the surgery. Does anyone here know how long DR Z has been doing the surgeries? I just feel more comfortable with all of the experience that DR K has. Help Please.

Guest guest
It is true, Carla. They do it like this Day 1 ---- Kr. K does 1 and 3 with Z assisting Dr. Z does 2 with K assisting Day 2 -----Dr Z does 1 and 3 with K assisting Dr. K does 2 with Z assisting. Day 3 ----- like day 1 Day 4 ----- like day 2 They flip like this all the time so you actually have both of them for your surgery. The real difference is that in your case, Dr. Z will come get you from the prep room and walk you into surgery, and be there for all the follow up. Dr. Z is really a sweetheart (shut up women). He did one of my tests the day before surgery, and was so kind and attentive. And then, he visited me several times while I was in hospital even though Dr. K was my surgeon. You are in EXCELLENT hands, my new friend. Jim Re: I am a bit concerned. Hi Jim Thank You for replying. Really, DR K assist in the surgery, and DR Z has done a lot of them? But when it was time to have my drains pulled Dr K was out of town and Dr Z pulled my drains. I didnt yell or anything, but tears were flowing like crazy when he pulled the 1st one, and with tears in his eyes, he said I am sorry I hurt you but we have to pull the other one now. He is very compassionate and kind hearted, I would have no qualms about Dr Z doing my surgery at all. He even asked me at a support group meeting if I had forgiven him... like it was his fault, lol. You will be in the best of hands...all 4 of them. Sharon in Onyx
Guest guest
Hi Carla! Eyup! Mine was the other way around. Dr. K did my surgery and Dr. Z assisted. That was over a year ago so he has plenty of experience. You'll be well taken care of! Tracey > Hi Jim Thank You for replying.
