Guest guest
This is the second post I have read that a parent has seen a reduction in OCD behaviors by using Valtrex. Are there more parents out there that see this? My son's OCD has increased since starting biomed but we haven't gotten to Valtrex yet. Since strep is bacteria (causes OCD) and vatrex goes after viruses maybe there's a bigger link to bacteria/virus combination and removal. Valtrex seems to be the super med it releases dormant viruse, helps detox and helps a bacteria situation????!! Just some observations. - PS Mae, maybe you should try spreading the doses out to 3Xper day. Guest guest
I would start some antifungals if you have not yet done so. That would put you in a better position to understand what the Valtrex has or has not done for your child. Guest guest
Sorry, I'm a bit confused. Tell us exactly what your child is taking right now. - Stan > > Hi everyone, I've been lurking on the list for a while and am finding > it really interesting - thanks Stan! > > My son is 10 and has been doing biomedical stuff since he was > 4...GFCFSF, then SCD with enzymes for two years now. Guest guest
Hi , OCD can be caused by the autoimmune response to Strep bacteria and there is no citations in the medical literature that I could find with " herpes and ocd " and only 5 with " virus and strep " with none relating to Valtrex or herpes virus. But yet some children have improved symptoms of OCD... how? Better methylation and/or immune system response? Valtrex triggered detox which helped the the immune system? It's an interesting question. It certainly says to me that there is something else besides straight herpes antiviral therapy going on IMO. - Stan > > This is the second post I have read that a parent has seen a reduction in OCD behaviors by using Valtrex. Guest guest
Arent most asd kids ocd? I mean, my child is obsessed with buttons and vcr's. He could play with a vcr all day. Popping the tape in and out, pushing all the buttons. Would you consider this OCD?
