Guest guest
No, it's not a dumb question. The challenge in our kids in the absorption of MB12 is on several levels. MB12 requires an active transport for either oral or sublingual absorption. This means there is an actual mechanism that takes place in order to get it in the body. This process requires something called intrinsic factor, which in many of our children is impaired. In most cases you could put large doses of sublingual in our children's mouths and nothing typically happens. I wish it did. I would save us some time. Sub-q shots (shots just below the skin into fat tissue) and Nasal Spray are two methods of getting MB12 into the body without intrinsic factor or the gut to be in good shape (for oral absorption). That's the skinny on why some people put it in the fat.... or take the nasal spray. - Stan > > I know this is going to sound really stupid, but why does it have to be a > shot or nasal spray? Does sublingual b12 work at all? >
