Guest guest
Hey Thane, , Jim, Cheryl, , RRM, et al,While I was having fever, aches, and runs, I Rifed for Swine Flu and herxed noticeably afterward. With the several frequencies in the list, I don't know which gave me the herx, but it's left me wondering if I had the H1N1 virus or not. The only reason I'm concerned is that I still can't entirely knock down the fever. Normal for me is 97.3º, so I feel pretty bad when I get over 98.6º. I've been wandering around feeling sort of cloth-headed and strange, and then I take temp and it's 98.9º. Can't seem to get it to stay down for long. It's nice to know that the ol' immune system is cranking, but this is wearing. Finding it difficult to think. Doing usual detox. Taking CS to help fight whatever infection is creating this. Guess I should Rife Flu frx again. Dunno.Anybody have any suggestions?Be well,Léna-- .
Guest guest
hi Lena If you think your constitution can handle it...I would consider bringing the fever on even more.As long as you are hydrated (lots of pee is good). Guest guest
Lena:So sorry to hear you are continuing the fight. I am a believer in SWEAT, Baby! Do you havean infrared or sauna? I also am a great believer in hot/cold hydro therapy. Steam, cold shower, steam, cold shower. Hot for about 20 minutes, cold for about 2. You probably want to sit down in the shower. That really gets your bloodrunning, cleans out your lymphs, and believe it or not, makes you feel pretty good. Sort of tired, but good. When you are done with about 3 or 4 sessions of that (or whatever feels right to you) you should wrap up andtake a nap. You might want to back off on the killing protocols, if you haven't already, to give your body time to recover. Keep us posted Lena-dear. Hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
Lena, One of the other groups (I think it was a rife group, or multiple chemical sensitivities), had postings in the last few months which said that a fever is the way your body kills the virus. If you take steps to deliberately lower the fever, such as aspirin, the virus might take over & cause flu complications. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl,Haven't got a sauna, as hyperhydrosis has always been a natural gift for me, but I par-boiled myself in a long epsom soak this a.m. followed by a cold-sealing shower and will allow my natural sweat tendency full sway! Will go stand on the WBV later, although presently feel queasy enough that I just can't face it right now.The negativity is certainly off-set by the caring responses I've got from you-all. What would I do without my Lymie friends?I stopped Rifing this afternoon and went to straight ABPA A2 for balancing; no more killing for a bit. This, too, shall pass, I suppose. Thanks for your kind input.Be well,Léna Lena:So sorry to hear you are continuing the fight. I am a believer in SWEAT, Baby! Do you havean infrared or sauna? Guest guest
Hi Barb,I never take aspirin or anything to lower fever, but I do take CS, hoping it will reduce the virus causing the infection. Is this a good idea? I've been drinking lots of water, but without ice. My main escape from the nasty feeling of fever is to sleep. I've had three of these protracted fever things in the last year and a half, where my body has toiled through something, slowly, unpleasantly, but I guess I should be grateful that it's responding like this.I was planning on starting MMS tonight, but now don't know whether that's a good plan. sigh. Thanks so much for your info and suggestions.Be well,Léna Lena, One of the other groups (I think it was a rife group, or multiple chemical sensitivities), had postings in the last few months which said that a fever is the way your body kills the virus. Guest guest
Hi Lena, Its so hard to fight an acute infection while we have lyme because so much of what an ordinary person would do to beat down the infection can cause a herx in us, and at a time when we hardly can handle additional stress to the body. When you did the swine flu treatment you may have inadvertantly killed off some lyme bugs, causing further troubles for yourself. Maybe in the future when you use a frequency for something other than lyme you could do a Ctrl F search on the frx lists to make sure that the frequency used for the swine flu isn't also indicated for lyme and co. Hang in there friend. -Thane Hey Thane, , Jim, Cheryl, , RRM, et al, While I was having fever, aches, and runs, I Rifed for Swine Flu and herxed noticeably afterward. Guest guest
Hi Thane, I suspect this is what happened. I also hydrated less while we had company, as my normal routine was so interrupted, and I missed two CEs. We Lymies know that routine is precious. Guest guest
Hi Carol,I'm just delighted to have found a new thing for my bag of tricks. I got the chewable kind, as my husband has trouble swallowing pills, so i try to have remedies handy that we can both take. What do you think congaplex does? How does it work?Once again, Lyme is teaching me to be with what is, and stop trying to control events. It's easy for me to wax philosophical about the Lyme two-step, but the occasional backward two-step, instead of one-step, (about once or twice a year) can test my own perspective. This time it also challenged the Bu Xin and Free and Easy I'd been taking with such improved outlook. Surprised at the negativity that came up! Thanks and Be well,Léna but that is good lena because when "old stuff" comes to the surface that means we are starting to get to some of the root of the problem... no doubt with all the detoxing you do that something is *bound* to surface... but seriously i couldn't live without my congaplex.. my boss doesn't even believe in this alternative medicine stuff and i had a bottle sitting on my desk at work (and i haven't been taking any) and guess what it's 3/4 of the way gone! it's good stuff! hope you feel better soon! carol > > > > > > Hey Thane, , Jim, Cheryl, , RRM, et al, > > > > > > While I was having fever, aches, and runs, I Rifed for Swine Flu and > > > herxed noticeably afterward. Guest guest
Hi ,I Rifed for the mycoplasmas last week, but didn't run them for as long as usual, because I herxed in ways that were getting in the way of being a good hostess. (They tend to manifest as intense nerve pain in hands and feet for me; always have.) Having had mycoplasma pneumonia several times over the decades, I'm beginning to think I should Rife them some more, now that I can afford to be in pain.( actually, I prefer the herx pain to the sense of muted life this fever thing has imposed. The psychological component is there; the negativity, and listlessness.) I'm surprised that Bu Xin and Free and Easy seem not to be doing their usual good stuff.I'll check Jeff's frequencyfoundation for Swine Flu, too.I'm hoping all this is really a step forward rather than a reversal. It's very similar to something I picked up in CA last year during the forest fires, exacerbated by pine pollens and kept going for several weeks. The extreme heat during our travels often masked my fever, and travel itself was a form of distraction from negativity. Thanks for the hugs,Be well,Léna Hi Lena, You might check with Jeff Sutherland as he has a new Swine/flu-Lyme set and see if that helps. Also, I would not discount any of the Mycoplasmas. I got very sick and feverish with Mycoplasma Pneumoniae once and about two years later was diagnosed Lyme positive. I hope you can get to the bottom of it> Hugs, > > Hey Thane, , Jim, Cheryl, , RRM, et al, > > While I was having fever, aches, and runs, I Rifed for Swine Flu and > herxed noticeably afterward. Other useful antivirals are monolaurin and elderberry extract. Ellen
Guest guest
Hi Carol,This certainly sounds like good stuff? You're a Lymie, yes?(forgive my memory lapse) Do you find it makes you herx, or only indirectly by boosting your immune system? The bovine elements are interesting. I used to take Transfer factor, but couldn't keep it up financially. I have some small doses of cow colostrum in my freezer which I should take during this thing. I'm adding my symptoms up and think it's a nasty batch of mycoplasma, again.I'll look forward to the arrival of congaplex and will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.Be well,Léna congaplex is simply a natural way of strengthening the immune system...i've been using it for 10 years... but i use it on an as needed basis...if you use it all the time it won't work (at least for me) but when you need a boost or get a cold or get strep or just plain old feel crappy that's what i take... if it's something with a fever i do the 3 tablets 4 times a day if it's like a cold it's 3 tablets twice a day... my doc uses this for just about everybody... Suggested Use Three capsules per meal, or as directed. Supplement Facts Serving Size: 3 Capsules %DV Calories 5 Total Carbohydrate 1 g <1%* Vitamin A 900 IU 20% Vitamin C 6 mg 10% Calcium 80 mg 8% Magnesium 15 mg 4% * Percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. Guest guest
Hi Ellen,During the worst of my cough, I was using Ricola elderberry drops which helped. Cough still productive, which i guess is good news.Used the drops up,(they're not seasonally available at our pharmacy) but I think I may still have an un-opened bottle of Sambucol somewhere. That used to pull my cockatoo back from the brink. I've been warned that elderberries are very prone to molds, but haven't experienced any adverse effects, so...I'm presently doing 8, 3x dia. of Bu Xin and Free & Easy, which is probably helping. it's all relative. Will check this link you sent. Thanks! Thanks for the reminder of elderberry. I'll see if i can find it, or run to the healthfood store for some.Be well,Léna Léna, You might try http://plantcures.com/herbsforcoldsandflu.html. , who used to post frequently about TCM in the old group, thought highly of this herbalist's remedies. Other useful antivirals are monolaurin and elderberry extract. Ellen

Guest guest
Lena The MMS will help detox as well as the fever. I'd start right away. When I rife I always get a herx but I've been focusing on detoxing more and more. Salt water helps draw out toxins and ground me. To: Lyme_and_Rife Sent: Friday, July 17, 2009 3:45:11 PMSubject: Re: OT: Swine Flu? Hey Thane, , Jim, Cheryl, , RRM, et al, While I was having fever, aches, and runs, I Rifed for Swine Flu and herxed noticeably afterward. Dunno. Anybody have any suggestions? Be well, Léna -- .
Guest guest
Hi Lena,Sorry to hear you are having a tough time.... Please keep in mind, the frx's you used for Swine flu, most likely are also used for other illnesses also... So I would think it would be hard to say if this is swine flu... You are thinking of starting MMS, now would be a good time.... There is the standard protocol of start with one drop and increase by one drop daily until nausea is felt, then kick back by a drop or two.... BUT, for serious conditions, taking a dose of 15 drops is often necessary to get a serious condition under control... Is your condition serious? If so, then you might consider doing this.... Just be prepared for nausea or diarrhea with such a first time dose... I remember reading of a doctor Jim Humble approached about MMS, the doc wasn't all that interested, so JH left him a bottle of MMS.... About a week later, the good doc had a terrible cold, at 1:30PM, he picked up the bottle and I am almost positive he took 15 drops of MMS.... 45 minutes later he said the cold was over and he was convinced in the healing powers of MMS... MMS does two things, kills pathogens, boosts the immune system... The best time to take MMS is at night (especially for a serious condition), it improves the immune system and the immune system works best while we are sleeping... ALSO, crank up the water inflow.... Really get a lot of water in you to flush out the toxins caused by the fever.... And think about starting back up on LDN.... As you know, it also improves the immune system... Even if you only do this short term until the fever breaks... Guest guest
Hi Jim,I finally took the MMS plunge today! Took 2 drops at noon, 3 drops at 1:30, and just took 4 drops just now. Taking all my other supplements except C. Will probably consider LDN in a couple days. This bug, whatever it was hit me hard, especially my mental outlook. Not good. a sobering experience. No fever today, so I think the worst is over. Thanks for you kindness and info, Jim. Means a lot at times like these.Be well,Léna Hi Lena,Sorry to hear you are having a tough time.... Guest guest
Hi Jim,Every day I drink organic apple juice, usually cut with a bit of water and some kombucha tea. This is for my liver/GB and seems to work well. Today, I checked its ingredients and noticed that an 8oz serving give 100% daily requirement of C. That's probably not a big amount, but I'm wondering how a few oz of this a day could interfere with MMS. If I have to, I'll take it in the evening, but i'm just trying to figure all the angles of using MMS.I've just taken 4 more drops: a total of 13 drops for the day, and seem to be tolerating it!Be well,Léna Hi Lena,Sorry to hear you are having a tough time....
