Guest guest
This is an awesome acheivement, sure the seizure is just a blip, very talented young lady! Mx Dear fellow ABErs I hope you don't mind me sharing my picture of a dress which Tash has made as part of a volunteering project to get young people interested in Museums and heritage. It is fair to say that I have given her help with this, however she has done more on this project than on any other sewing task to date. The yellow fabric was specially woven for her by Vanners... they did Princess 's wedding dress material.. and it cost the project £500! This outfit.. five layers in total is a replica 1800s dress based on the ones warn in Gainsborough's paintings... It has taken nearly 200 hours to complete from research to design to completion.. and is a huge tribute to her drive and determination that from a two year old unable to speak who used to hide in corners.. she has grown up so much. MIracles and really positive outcomes do happen... it may take a few years.. and then a few more after that. The dress has been a massive stress for her.. together with her final college piece.to get the grades to go to university. and we have proved that enough can be enough.. and exhausted and stressed she had her first seizure since August last night. It has been a useful gift for me.. as when she was becoming more and more unreasonable in her behaviour.. I became really annoyed with her.and told her I did not want to look or speak to her!! Not very positive behaviour on my part, . rather than realising that she was nearing the end of her safety mechanism... A valuable lesson for us both... Although she is carrying a number of designer bruises from a fall in the seizure... she is fine and we are now working at ways for her to identify when she needs to take time out and calm down... The photos are attached. Tracey
