Guest guest
Once again the gym was empty and I was anxious to see Noel because yesterday his wife, who is only 25 years old, had a stroke yesterday and had to go to the hospital. The left side of her face went numb as did part of her arm. They did all the tests and didn't find anything but that maybe a sinus infection set it off. Scary. She's fine now and back home. A small cheap thrill for me - I actually got to watch both Noel and work out on two machines! They were doing shoulder shrugs with mass amounts of weight; on the cable pull Noel had the metal stick selector thingy at the very bottom of all the weighted bricks. I'd never seen that done before! It goes without saying that my back and biceps are killing me from Tuesday's workout. Taking off a shirt and pulling open a door are two common daily activities that were workouts in and of themselves for me today. I keep asking myself why that workout is my favorite of the three. Oh yeah, because I want a ripped back almost as much as I want a flat tummy, that's why. Tonite was leg night, and it was much harder than last time. Mr. Hack Squat Machine, Ms. Perfect Squat Machine and Madame Leg Press showed no mercy. I was actually joyous at the prospect of moving on to the hamstring curl machine and two shoulder machines. Anything that didn't involve glutes or quadriceps. My legs were wobbly as I ran out the door to catch the bus (and got there just as it pulled away). After my bath coming downstairs I could feel the familiar onset of DOMS so I know I'm in big trouble tomorrow! LOVE IT! Here's to the weekend!
