Guest guest
, Thank you for saying what needed to be said. I have seen first-hand the damage that alcohol can do to several of my relatives. My grandfather - dead at 62, and it wasn't pretty at the end. My uncle - on disability for many years, he can't work his trade because his hands continue to shake. My husband - two GI bleeds each w/ 5 day hospital stays, a visit to rehab, and $30,000+ in doctors bills later, not to mention the toll it has taken on his body, our marriage, daughter and the rest of the family. Is that drink really worth taking the chance? I can't even have an occasional drink after seeing what I've seen! I can only thank God that he is alive, sober, we are still married, and his numbers are near normal. I hope it lasts, because all I have is hope!! He just had bloodwork done this week and has a doctor's appt. today with his local GI doctor. Praying everything is status quo... Take care , I'm glad you are doing so well. You are a world of wisdom. Donna > > I don't think I have ever posted in here but I have been a member > of > > the group for a while now.
