Worrying about sin/compulsive praying

This is my first time to post. My son was diagnosed with an " anxiety

disorder " and possibly with OCD tendencies last summer. At the time,

he was worrying about someone controlling his mind (mind control) or

that someone might poison him through food or drink. He came to me,

what seemed like millions of times a day, to seek out comfort from

his fears. I took him to the pediatrician and she put him on 5mg of

Lexapro, a fairly new medication. From what I understand, it is a

new version of Celexa. Anyway, after about a month passed, the

questions subsided, and he seemed to go ahead and live and play

happily like a child should. Then, the worrying reared it's ugly

head again this summer. This summer, he began worrying about

sin/whether he had done something that God would punish him for. The

constant talking to me and questions began again. At the time, I was

unaware that he was including me in his ritual. (I have been trying

to research OCD) He comes to me with questions, and and he expects me

to deliver comfort by my replies. The constant bombardment of

questions, leaves me feeling drained and exhausted which then leads

me to feeling guilty and irritable. My son has began about a month

ago seeing a psychologist once a week. I am still looking forward to

seeing improvement. Has anyone else experienced this particular

obsession with sin? He compusively prays for forgiveness. Sometimes

he will no more than say Amen, and then he begins a prayer again. He

also mumbles chants to himself. Example: " There's only one God,

there's only one God. " Any suggestions?
