Hi ,

Just wanted to let you know that my daughter also did terrible with oral MB12. She was a mess and her behavior was terrible. She is non verbal so she couldn't tell me how she felt but it was obviously bad. She has done just fine with MB12 injections. No big wows except for learning to swim without a life vest after changing from every 3 days to everyday. We are looking forward to trying the spray with folinic.

Take care,

Hello Stan and all, just joined the group and have been reading all your stories with interest. We have a 4.11 year old who was what some would call "shadow asd" not receiving the dx, but did get dx'd as adhd at 3. We had her evaluated twice, by two neurodevelopmental pediatricians and BOTH times she did things for them we had never seen, cognitive speaking, that is. We did have some symptoms of asd, i.e. toe walking, pronoun reversal, but, language was always age appropriate, but not commensurate with her abilities. We have done biomedical for almost 1.5 years now, including 10 months of chelation, and testing by an outside psychologist found her with no learning disabilities and quite a high I.Q. Speech is now on par with her abilities, we believe.Interesting, that she has many of the markers you would expect to find to be a responder to b12 i.e. paternal great grandmother with pernicious anemia, red-tip-of-tongue, etc, but she responded horribly to methyl b12, oral. I have read many good studies that show that methyl b-12 is absorbed orally, quite well, even for people who have pernicious anemia. Her response to methyl b12 oral, 5 grams, was aggression. She actually was pinching us, and she has never been aggressive before or since, also, she talked CONSTANTLY. It was if somehow had actually wound her up and she could not quit talking. We did give this with folic acid 800 mcg, we tried folinic acid, but she did not tolerate that at all, emotional meltdowns. Also, I believe her to have a viral problem, which has abated somewhat with chelation as before chelation she would have higher order language and be more responsive when she had a fever. This fall two fevers with two colds did not show that behavior. So, I guess I would be interested in your interpretation of her behavior while on the oral methyl b12, and what other markers there might be for kids who have viral issues, without have a viral panel that is.Also, I appreciate the helpful flavor of this group, very nice.TIA,
