Hi Kay, the best deals may be online. www.iherb.com is one site that has

been mentioned in previous posts as having good prices. You could also

search " froogle " (off the Google site www.google.com ) for " inositol " (no

quotes) to find other, perhaps better prices for the supplement. I think

most people who are taking a large number of grams/day for OCD etc. purchase

the powder form rather than tablets, since this is by far cheaper. Since it

is sweet, it can be mixed into juice or whatever.

I've been searching the web for places to purchase Inositol at a

reasonable price too. This is the least expensive that I've found:

Most of the sites that I checked out have the Jarrow products much less

expensive than other brands.

SHF has 500 g for $45.00 so the nutritiondome price looks pretty good to

me at $17.04 for the same amount. I don't know what the difference is

in the different brands, but most state that each 1/4 teaspoon contains:

Inositol 600 mg, so they are pretty consistent.

Does anyone have any experience with the Jarrow formulation? I'm really

curious why it is so much less expensive than the others.

I'm sure there are other places with as good/better pricing, but we

ordered from iHerb.com online. They have different brands but we

used Source Naturals Inositol Powder. It's now $27.59 a bottle,

which it says is 226.8 grams. At 845mg for 1/4 tsp, we pretty much

used a bottle a month at the higher dosage and, of course, less at

the lower dosages (over a 3 yr span). If you go to their home page

and search " inositol powder " you can compare brands. At 1800mg a

day, something priced in this range should last. I'm a single mom

and at times I had to cut back with just due to not having

the $$ to order each month; I know how tough it can get with $$!

Interesting that 's OCD began right at middle school also,
