"Down Syndrome Girl" Will Not Be Nominated For An Emmy Award:

Friends, We just the following message from a friend of a friend in Los Angeles:

"I wanted to let you know that my husband (Name Removed) is an Academy member and sits on one of the committees. He contacted Shaffner and discussed the disgusting song from Family Guy. He shared his personal views as well as those of our two children who are SAG members. He sent a letter out today to the NDSC to say that the song will not be aired on the Emmy's."

I think this is an excellent outcome. I for one will write another letter to CEO Shaffner applauding this decision.

I had over 100 emails from friends of Down Home Ranch and I believe that the many letters, phone calls and emails helped bring about this withdrawal of a "song" without merit. Thanks, too, for the several of you that were ready to go to L.A. with me. Happily, I've got a change of plans.
