I have drop foot along with no lateral movement in either foot. I also have a

fused ankle on one side and when it's not in a state of repair (4 fusions in 5

years), I wear the Walk-On on it too. These AFOs give me plenty of stability,

without them I can't walk across the room without using a walker or holding on

to the walls.

With them, I am able to lead a pretty active life. They seem to give my legs

more energy. They are covered by my insurance and the MDA, and they have a 6

month guarantee. The Toe-Off has either a 6 mos or 1 year guarantee. I don't

remember which, but when they broke they (my orthotist) just took them back and

gave me a new pair. But, again, it is really an individual thing - what works

for one, doesn't always work for the next person.

Andy -check out the e-mail from Bob Cockerham. He listed a site

for Wade Bader out of Tampa, FL. Those AFOs look pretty similiar and

I think they are more individualized.
