Neurprotek as I see it is working to block mast cells not seal the whole BBB, so I am planning to do both

ALA can cross the best BBB--as can loads of other things. It is permeable for

the right things. Neuroprotek won't change that.

I posted on another group (based in USA) to see if anyone has used Neuroprotek to get feedback, someone said they had vivid dreams on it another said they started with too many and said they "saw some ugly things and stooped" later they found out that they started too quickly so have advised to start low and gradually increase, which makes alot of sense as it is an antioxidant.

some kids who don't tolerate n/ptek do well on lutimax - similar but

luteolin-only. from lutimax.com

theo said that they will soon be removing rutin from n/ptek formula

(they think it is the reason some don't tolerate) and that they will

increase luteolin to quercetin ratio... so it will also end up being

mainly luteolin

Natasa, do you know if they plan to do a chewable version for kids who cant swallow gel caps, been squeezing it out but so messy and the taste isnt v. palatable.

My son can swallow them if they're put on some thick yogurt. Maybe not a

solution for cf kids, but really worth trying. On one tsp of yogurt, he can

swallow a neuroprotek, his astaxanthin capsule (really messy to squeeze as it

stains everything), and about 20 lauricidin, all at the same time. It is a

really good skill to have.

He doesn't mind at all because the yogurt is sweet and tasty.

no idea, maybe ask them directly http://algonot.com/contact.phpI saw this on a public ASD forum, might help:My son is 3.5 and what I do is cut open the capsules and I put two of them in a small bit of emu oil, the emu oil makes the thickness of the neuroprotek sort of easily become part of the emu oil and it makes it really easy to use a toddler syringe like you get from Walgreens to suck it up. With the emu oil it equals less than a 1/4 teaspoon total in the syringe.There is no way around the fact it tastes gross. He threw it up twice. But doing it this way has worked very well. Also, I have mixed Strawberry Hershey's syrup in it, and also have done Hershey's choc syrup....and then suck it up in the little syringe and shoot! Thanks Anita, Harry can't have yogurt as diary affects his excema like crazy, tried making fermented coconut yoghurt and he won't take that unless i ply it with lots and lots of honey which defeats object, im wondering if i can try some fruit puree with a little honey, i will give it a go.

Thanks Natasa, i will try mixing whole capsule with some puree or maybe some st delfour jam which is SCD legal see if he can swallow whole.

it's the idea that thicker is better. kind of like swallowing pills with a

smoothie rather than water is way easier (that's for me, as I have trouble

swallowing pills).

hi on a video I saw Dr T says not more than up to 8 caps, so 2 or 3 if they're

young ie under 6 and more if they can tollerate if they're older children, he

said its hard to say, but definately no more than 8.look on the

Hi,

I put the capsule into banana piece,no problems!He'll only swallow the capusules

when I hide them in food.
