If I give advice, it's only what I'd do if your sick animal were mine. If you're expecting a reply and don't get one, it means my computer is " down " , again! Guest guest
Okay, so does the good bacteria in raw milk kill this one off too? I mean if it weren't past would the bac survive? This is in interesting article.... I just spent about an hour on the phone with someone who is convinced that I am abusing my children and my self b/c we drink raw milk. SHe is absolutely convinced that we are all going to die from mad cow disease. I admit I did not have much of a rely for her except the standard since i know little or nothing about mad cow. Can someone out there enlighten me? Or send me to a site or book that will? TIA, Wren Wren >This from Mercola: > " Infectious Bacteria in Milk Survives Pasteurization >The Marshfield Clinic Laboratories found that milk sold in the United > States is contaminated with an organism that has been implicated as >a suspected cause of Crohn's disease--Mycobacterium avium subspecies > Paratuberculosis (MAP). Guest guest
Hi Wren, Usually the bacteria that causes Crohn's disease is found only in confined, grain-fed cows. Their rumen is acidic and unhealthy from all the grain and other junk they receive, and therefore their entire system is unhealthy. These are usually Holsteins. That bacteria has not been found to date in any exclusively grass fed herds (usually Jerseys.) I would refer you though, to The Untold Story of Milk by Dr. Ron Schmid. You just gotta take the plunge and get it. It's on Amazon.com and will explain a lot for you. Guest guest
Wren, Mad cow is transmitted by feeding remnants of cow carcass's to other cows. This is why it is important to check out your source for Raw Milk. This fact is what got me started on the whole raw dairy, grassfed, organic, non-processed food kick. There are a lot more wrongs other than this cowabalism going on in the food industry.
