Virus through my address book

Hello,

I received an e-mail from a friend who inadvertently transferred a virus via her address book. Therefore, all of you in my address book may have the virus. It takes only a few minutes to follow the steps to get rid of it. Please check so your computer will not crash after the dormant period of the virus. I did find the virus in my computer. She got the virus from someone else's address book. Chances are you have it too since you are all in my address book. It lies dormant for 14 days and then kills your hard drive. Here's how to stop it. If you have the virus, send this to everyone in your address bvook. Remove it by following these steps.

1. Go to "start" - then to "find or search"

2. In the "search for files or folders " type sulfnbk.exe (this is the virus)

3. In the "look in" make sure you're searching Drive C

4. Hit "search" button or find

5. If this file shows up (it's and ugly blackish icon that will have the name sulfnbk.exe) DO NOT OPEN IT!

6. Right click on th file (on the file icon) and go to Delete on the drop down menu and left click.

7. It will ask you if you wanat to sent it to the recycle bin, click yes

8. Go to your desktop (where all the icons are) and double click on the Recycle Bin

9. Right click on "sulfnbk.exe" and delete again or empty the bin

10. If you fine it, send this e-mail to all in your address book becausse this is how it is transferred.

For you information:

To keep a virus from attaching itself to your address book - do the following:

Create a ficticious address, one that starts with 0 or anything that will be at the top of lyour address book.

(jAn example would be <A HREF="mailto:0001@v">0001@v,/A> ...So this way, if a virus tries to attach itself to your address book, it will come up that it could not send it because of a bad address. You will then know that you have a virus but none of your contacts will get it.
