Guest guest
Hi all, I ve been reading posts, you all have a wonderful way with words & you inspire me everyday. Thank you. My sis is doing well, she s lost some weight, isnt as puffy, doing pt & trying to get on the transplant list. She has alot of spider viens on her face thu, that worries me. The docs are waiting for her heart to get a little better before doing surgery for her portal hypertension.(putting in a shunt, I think) My long time partner ( tom) asked me to marry him !! For a man who said he d never marry again, this is pretty awesome. I m thrilled!! He gave me a lovely diamond & sapphire ring. I had a week of great joy & then.... My mom s neighbor called ( moms been taking care of sis, remember?) She had taken mom to urgent care for side & back pain. They sent her home with oxycodone, saying she had a pulled muscle. But she couldnt get herself to the bathroom, the pain was so bad. I called mom ( she had to throw the phone down to scream in pain) I INSISTED she meet me at the ER ( the neighbor brought her) I got her admitted that night. Long story short, her breast cancer has come back, its in the bones of her spine, ribs & pelvis now. She s 78.My dad was in Florida, my other sis was at her cabin, so it was just mom & I to get the news. Its been a little stressful to say the least. The docs THINK they can treat it with radiation & chemo. Any prayers are gratefully accepted. She & Dad are both home now, mom s on alot of pain meds & getting radiation daily.( strange thing, we got the same ER doc I had for my salivary gland stone in Dec) We know my sis CAN take care of herself now. She did fine during the week mom was hospitalized. My sibs are helping more now too. My fibro has been horrible, fibro doesnt like stress & not sleeping & sitting in those horrid hospital chairs for days. Tom would pretty much lead me in the door, feed me & put me to bed. Those of us who have supportive spouses are truely blessed & you supportive caregivers are blessed even more. Yep, lifes a rollercoaster. I m sorry I dont post as much as I feel I should. I hope you all understand. I really do appreciate your insiteful, informational posts. You help me more then you know. I hope everyone here is doing ok & I pray for you all everyday. I may not post that much but I do think of you. warm hugs, " tilly "
