Can anyone help me with the translation of the following terms into German?

convex pivot hinge

cavity pivot

hinge depressions

hinge ears

[Conventional hinge design (cavity pivot) requires the leaflets to open

completely to sweep out the hinge depressions on the valve ring with the hinge

ears

of the leaflets.]

convex hinge points

[Leaflets pivot smoothly on small convex hinge points]

generous, compliant cuff (no context)

I have been unable to locate anything specific on the Internet which may be

of help to you. All I found out was that ATS Medical manufacture a heart

valve prosthesis with 'cavity pivot', etc. etc. I am not able to connect up

to various sites and look into this further for some reason - we hope to

have our p.c. serviced soon. For several weeks now our p.c. has been very

temperamental.

However, I did look a couple of days ago when the p.c. was in a better mood.

By doing an advanced search in German in Google with 'ATS+Medical+herz', I

remember finding a page with various references in German. I know that ATS

Medical are located in Berlin and they seem to be the experts in this field.

Perhaps you could find something more substantial yourself.

Thanks, Liz. I have searched the Internet extensively and have not found the

terms I mentioned in German. They are probably new terms.
