Dear Fellow ABErswww.surveymonkey.com/s/autism1We are trying to gather information to see if there are any preconditions which might predispose kids to autism.. The initial findings are indicating a few consistent factors in mothers and in the actual pregnancy and deliveries of mothers who then went on to have autistic children.

The survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete and the questionnaire site will be taken down at the end of May.. Many thanks in advance

Tracey

Dear She has found consistencies in all the families she has seen, however to be able to draw any conclusions she would like to have as many responses as possible.. so please feel free to forward this link onto everyone you know with autistic children.. It really is a good opportunity to have our experiences recorded and analysed by someone who is not funded by  a pharmco.... or a relative of Deers!!!!!!

Hi Tracey,I completed the survey too and like I would be very interested in the results so I hope does either publish on this site or email the participants. I was talking with some parents the other day about the birth of their autistic boy and I was gob smacked. It was like they were describing my owns son's birth and I couldn't have put it better in my own words if I tried. I was really lost for words. x

It won't show anything that's verifiable - there is no control group, for a

start. Obviously (to me) the questions show the hope/expectation of finding a

respitory weakness!

In case this seems rather negative, over the years I have heard varied and

partial views on the causation of autism from within the " alternative " world

and from the " mainstream " :

Jungians say autism is caused by the mother rejecting the child (they still are

saying this);

Developmental problems are chiefly caused by heavy metals;

No, it's not heavy metals, it's chemical hormone disrupters.

There are other theories saying X is THE cause of autism.

I have seen dozens of these questionnaires/surveys over the years eg " Do you

have thyroid problems? " All very well and good, but I believe they won't get us

anywhere.

The mainstream world likes to say it's all genetics.

As far as I'm concerned, autism has multiple causes, sometimes several negative

factors affecting the same child. Autism is also a description that covers many

different conditions.

BTW I recommend this blog I came across yesterday:

I guess each of us has to judge the merits of recording our experiences with our children... no matter what the outcome  the facts are that some kids develop autism and some don't... some are vaccinated and develop autism.. and others don't... and some develop autistic tendencies even if they have never been vaccinated or exposed to harmful heavy metals.... I would hope that if there are enough consistent factors, we might at least be able to produce a profile of a child most likely to be negatively affected if vaccinated...

I am rather hopeful that this may provide consistent factors... which might actually assist in stopping the ever increasing number of austistic kids... Tracey
