Guest guest
Have you received these yet and what do you think? I checked the website on your suggestion and also thought it looked good. I'd love to hear! Thanks, Abbie Re: DAN approach and aspergers . . . ? We have just ordered a book and a video from a website www.socialthinking.com that both appear to be very geared toward providing very practical help to both kids and parents on how to improve our kid's social interactions. The site also has some good discussion about the social issues that impact our kids. Haven't received the stuff to totally vouch for it yet, but it looks like the resources available there have the potential to be pretty helpful. Guest guest
We received the Social Thinking material(workbook and video) several weeks ago and am still working our way through them the first time. First impression is that they (partiularly the video)will provide some pretty good tips on how to help us (parents/caregivers/teachers) help the asperger type child with social stuff. Some of the material seems pretty " clinical " but it does appear to provide alot of practical tips for us parent types also. We've just really struggled to find practical resources and instruction on helping us help our wonderful almost 7 yo aspergerish child with advancing his social interactions. Any tips would sure be appreciated. Walt > > The 5-year old son of a friend of our former neighbor was just dx'ed > > with aspergers.
