See message below from Dr. M.

Lauricidin (anti-viral and anti-bacterial agent) has been incredible for

getting rid of my cold sores. I have gone and off Lauricidin to test it, and

it definitely is very effective for me.

If I take Lauricidin every day (1 scoop 3x daily with food), I don't get any

cold sores. If I take it as soon as I start to feel the cold sore, it can

take 1.5 to 3 or so days to heal. I have found that taking Lauricidin

consistently is very important; I was lax over the holidays and the sores

came right back.

I also give Lauricidin to my 3 and 5 year old children. They take 15 pellets

3x daily with food. You can get it at lauricidin.com. The pellets are about

the size of a lentil and have a soapy feel, so they are very easy to

swallow. They taste *terrible* if bitten (like soap!). If you have any

specific questions about Lauricidin, you can ask Dr. Kabara on the abmd

list.

You can also find FAQ on Lauricidin at

sores.....

Canker sores are usually from Herpes 1, and vitamin B5 deficiency also is

known to cause them. I think all kids should be tested for viruses;

Lauricidin is often very helpful as a natural anti-viral. Dr. JM

Short of RX anti-virals, lysine helps as well as any of the immune

enhancers like lauricidin, colostrum etc.

And remember, if your kids have had the chicken pox vaccine, that is a weakened

live herpes virus.

The doctor I have been using that prescribed Valtrex said that the herpes virus

contaminates the body and can cause problems, even the weakened virus from the

vaccine. The chicken pox virus is a form of the herpes virus.

Re: Cold Sores --- Herpes?

Huh? Can you explain this more?

I have never heard this before. It's somewhat alarming. The doctor told you

this? Why is this not common knowledge? Or perhaps it is, and I just came

along too late to have to think about the chicken pox vaccine. What a

completely stupid waste. The stuff they try to put in our kids for money...

Thankfully, both of my kids had the chicken pox, but I am curious to know

more about this.

, there are several types of herpes virus. Chickenpox is

one, herpes virus 1 & 2 and 6 are others. Usually 1 is known to

cause cold sores. I assume since they are numbered to 6 (and I

believe I have read of higher number strains) there are virus 3,4,5

as well. I do think it is common knowledge, but I have talked to

other people who were not aware of the family of herpes virus as

well. Often doctors will just say " oh, its a virus. " and not go into

it further.
