Furry/Moldy Stool

Just when this I thought I had seen it all, my 3 year old daughter produced

a yellowish stool (floating) that looked like it had something white and

furry growing on it. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

On Monday she was feverish with a sinus infection and since then she's been

complaining that her stomach hurts and has had very loose bms. So actually,

I was surprised that she even had a formed bowel movement. I'd appreciate if

anyone might know what this type of " moldy " bm might indicate.

TIA, Lynne

Although I have seen Dean have " fuzzy " stool with yeast die-off, I

would venture a guess that with a sinus infection she has a lot of

mucus and swallowing a lot of it...(drainage) and you get sick to

your stomach. This can really foul up the stool as more stomach acid

and bile form.

If you have been using antibiotic, she could be growing herself some

yeast!

My best guess...
