Guest guest
Ok, I keep hearing all the kefir talk, and in another group I am a member of, I constantly hear all about the nutritional value of the stuff. So, being won over, I picked up some from Whole Foods. It was a)peach kefir, and pasteurized. I have no idea if that makes a difference at all in the pleasurable taste of the stuff. I tried, I really really did but found it very very yucky. Like nauseated all day yucky, to the point I think about it and get nauseated all over again. Sorry to all the kefir fans out there, but that was the initial response. Are they all the same basically in flavor? Or does the pasteurization have anything to do with it? It was exceptionally chunky and just basically tasted like milk gone very bad to me. Did I get a bad variety? Is it something that grows on you? I'm very curious, but not feeling particularly brave enough to try again.
