I'm a single Mom and my 23 year old daughter still lives with me. I have been reading a few of your posts. I find that most of you share the same daily challenges that I do. I live in a fairly small town where there's very little knowledge or resources for helping Autistic children. My son is getting more agressive in the last year. We've made one ER trip and had to call out the police recently. The mental health center thinks I should place him in a boy's home. I'm totally unsure of what to do or where I can seek trustworthy help. There seems to be a lack of support groups dealing with Autism in my area. Some get started, then quit. My son has been prescribed several different medications over the years. He is currently taking Abilify, Straterra, and Celexa and Melatonin. I would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.
