Not to put a damper on this but I suggest you research about Canola oil. It

is not a good oil. It is from rapeseed oil that is processed, etc. Again,

there is an extensive history on it at www.westonaprice.org. Basically when

the hubbub started about saturated fats the only really good vegetable oil

was olive and manufacturers knew there was no way to produce enough of that

to supply everyone. So, Canada came up with this oil from rapeseed.

Rapeseed is not fit for human consumptions. Anyhow, that is how it got the

name Canola. Canada sold it to the us for something like $50,000,000 and

actually the FDA originally would not approve it's sale in the US until

Canada gave them the huge sum.

It is a very interesting article. I personally will not buy any product

that has it in it. It is very bad for our bodies and I think that is

evident in the health in our country.

Hey I have a better butter recipe from Laurel's Kitchen that is good.

It is mixed with canola oil, and lecithin.

I've known for years that canola is bad...like I've known about margarine..

and from instinct. Thanks for the positive affirmation...rapeseed...the name

alone is creepy. *shudder*

I have done the butter with walnut or macadamia oil. gives you more Omega

3s and gives you a spreadable butter [like margarine in a tub, but better

for you]

8 ounces [1 stick] butter to 4 ounces nut oil

blend well and store in a covered bowl.

Hi and Allyn,

Thank you for your info. I was not trying to offend or take sides just

to give input if wanted.
