WOW Kirsty that is totally awesome, be proud!

Just another little thing, i know this is not about autism, but my friend who lives round the corner has never done anything with her son (biomedically or therapy). He has severe cerebral palsy, seizures, blind in one eye, oxygen dependant, tube fed etc etc

She finally listened to me about doing Scotson (and not believing everything doctors tell you!), and took him the same time as me. So today he is also learning his second set. He is OFF oxygen completely, not even through the night, OFF some of seizure medication, and when I sat down next to him, he rubbed my arm to say hi!! This is the boy the doctors said would die shortly after xmas so she took him to Florida to swim with the dolphins as a last gift. I told her today she should have saved her money :0))))))

How amazing is that! And she is giving him my organic chicken stock through his tube. Now I just need to get her to look at supplements!!!!

I have just come back from day 1 of my second set of exercises with Sam. Whilst I was there I bought the diacom earth. Has anyone else started this?It is to replace the parasite cleanses and loads of other stuff. Sounds like really good stuff if it does the trick, and only costs £8 a tub. Cannot believe it!Anyone know if i can put in capsules or whether it has to go in a drink? Sam doesn't do anything apart from water.Just another little

Dear KirstyI hope your friend will go to the press with this one.. because there are so many CP kids who are full of hope and potential.. just as soon as they can breathe properly..

I can't believe how quick the time has gone and that you are on the second set already.. , who has the most fragile of stomachs, especially after the twisted bowel and complications which happened about this time last year, has been using it herself.. I think if she can tolerate it.. so can anyone.. I have been using it.. as a colon cleanse and to see if I can address poor dry skin.. skin much improved already.

DH with IBS does NOT like it.. he says it makes him feel queezy and bloated.. I think that with all the gunk in his gut.. it is a detox.. and perhaps he needs to build up to full amount slowly.  Dose is about 1tbs a day.. It does dissolve in water but has a rather earthy taste to it.. I like the taste.. which probably means most will find it unpalatable.

I am so pleased you are noticing gains in your little man.. I think that TST and improved oxygenation makes supps and biomed work more efficiently.. What wonderful news and well done you for pursuading her.. To people not in the know about TST it does sound a very unlikely therapy to produce such prompt gains.

Best WishesTracey

Hi All - just read on another forum (who's name I won't mention!) that they dont recommend DE as it is exposed to toxity??? Confused now, anyone shed any light on this, maybe a question for Andy Cutler perhaps??

Hi KirstyWe've been trying diatomacious earth for a while now. We think it's been effective, especially for the cats, and is great value for money! It is completely tasteless and odourless so it's really easy to take. We've been mixing with water, food, adding it to cakes, all sorts. This extract might help:"Dosage: Take 1-2 tablespoons per day mixed in some kind of liquid or food. There is no unpleasant taste. Since it will not dissolve, stirring several times while drinking will prevent settling. Some have experienced higher energy levels, so it is probably better not to take it right before sleeping. No worry about getting too much, any excess silica not needed by the body is automatically eliminated through the blood stream, kidneys and intestines."From http://diatomx.co.ukBest wishesTim >> > That is brilliant Kirsty, i sometimes wonder where my Conor would be today if i had known all i know now all those years ago. There are people out there who believe that helping and overcoming ASD is a step too far.. So I guess in deciding on whether or not DE is the way forward.. ask what the different peoples ultimate intentions are... and then I think it will be an easy answer.

Hi Marina,

If these claims are being made, have you contacted the company to ask what checks they have? There may be more than one supplier here.. and it would be good to make sure that real facts are being quoted here.

Hi Tracey - it was mentioned on another very well know forum so I gues if they think it could be contaminated the best person to ask would be Andy which Mandi is kindly looking into. Very interesting product but dont want to use it if interfers with chelation!

Dear Marina

I have found that everything Scotson has recommended to us over the years has been spot on.. she tests everything on herself first.. and she has a hyper delicate system.

Hi KirstyWe've been trying diatomacious earth for a while now. We think it's been effective, especially for the cats, and is great value for money! It is completely tasteless and odourless so it's really easy to take. We've been mixing with water, food, adding it to cakes, all sorts. This extract might help:

" Dosage: Take 1-2 tablespoons per day mixed in some kind of liquid or food. There is no unpleasant taste. Since it will not dissolve, stirring several times while drinking will prevent settling. Some have experienced higher energy levels, so it is probably better not to take it right before sleeping. No worry about getting too much, any excess silica not needed by the body is automatically eliminated through the blood stream, kidneys and intestines. "

Hi Marina,If these claims are being made, have you contacted the company to ask what checks they have?  There may be more than one supplier here.. and it would be good to make sure that real facts are being quoted here.

Best WishesTracey

Hi Tracey - it was mentioned on another very well know forum so I gues if they think it could be contaminated the best person to ask would be Andy which Mandi is kindly looking into.  Very interesting product but dont want to use it if interfers with chelation!

Dear Marina

I have found that everything Scotson has recommended to us over the years has been spot on.. she tests everything on herself first.. and she has a hyper delicate system.

There are people out there who believe that helping and overcoming ASD is a step too far.. So I guess in deciding on whether or not DE is the way forward.. ask what the different peoples ultimate intentions are... and then I think it will be an easy answer.

Best Wishes

Tracey

Hi All - just read on another forum (who's name I won't mention!) that they dont recommend DE as it is exposed to toxity??? Confused now, anyone shed any light on this, maybe a question for Andy Cutler perhaps??

Here is a post from onibasu on diatomaceous earth from Andy:

I'm certainly familiar with it's chemical and industrial applications.

I would not feed it to people. It is broken up shells of little ocean

critters and will be rough on the intestines. Like eating broken

glass. Autistic kids already have delicate, sensitive intestines.

Use activated charcoal and bentoite clay for adsorbents, perhaps

saccaride products for immune support.

Andy . . . .. . . . . . . . .

http://onibasu.com/archives/am/50736.html

If you search wikipedia it appears to be composed of 2-4% aluminium, but maybe

the food grade one doesn't? I would make sure you know the composition before

trying.
