10 year old with toileting problems & screaming.

Hi

My name is Helen, and I am the mother of 3 autistic children. Cal &

Ben are 10 year old twins and Billie is a 9 year old girl. My problem

is Cal constantly goes around naked with a poopy behind, or a tail as

my husband refers to it as. About 2 years ago for about 6 months he

took himself to the toilet but for most of his life he's gone around

with a tail. It doesn't matter how long you put him on the toilet for

he won't do it on the toilet, except when he's got diahrrea and then

he goes on his own. We end up cleaning up sometimes at least 10 times

a day. Also the screaming. Think of the worst horror movie scream

then imagine it at least twice as loud and as long. I've had

neighbours 3 doors down say they can hear him when he screams at night.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can improve these behaviours, I

should also mention that Cal is non-verbal. He understands a lot of

what is asked of him. I figure he understand when he's asked to go to

the toilet because he complains when he's asked.
