I have used Diflucan in hundreds of kids over the years and never had any

problems with it; it is an extremely safe drug.

Diflucan

Diflucan can impair liver function. Any drug that requires a CBC and liver

panel after ten days of use is dangerous in my book. Using the natural

antifungals is a much better way to go, if they work for you. If not, then

bring out the big guns and do the bloodwork to keep an eye on things.

Good Luck.

Okay, embarassing to ask this but does that mean Diflucan is safe for

ME to use while breastfeedding my 11 month old? I think I may need

to do so. Ah, the privacy really goes out the window when it comes

to our kids!

-Breast-feeding

Azole antifungals pass into breast milk. Mothers who are taking these

medicines and who wish to breast-feed should discuss this with their

doctors.
