Guest guest
Listmates, Finally got a response from the Lyprinol folks on their natural anti-inflammatory. L PS My initial questions are at the bottom of the post. Lyprinol Questions Hello, We live in the US and our 3.5 year old son has Colitis and Lymphoid Nodule Hyperplasia as observed during colonoscopy. The Doctor prescribed Sulfasalazine to reduce his inflammation, but our son did NOT tolerate that. He is now trying Colazal but it is questionable as to whether he will tolerate that either. Our son is also autistic and that population does not do well on Salycilates which Sulfasalazine and Colazal both have, but he needs an anti-inflammatory desparately. I heard about your natural product, Lyprinol and it seems to have good potential for our case. I wonder if it could be used instead of or in conjunction with one of the prescription anti-inflammatory drugs that our Gastro doctor is prescribing? I have a few questions I hope you can answer: Do you offer the Lyprinol in a bottle? Our son does not swallow pills. If not, could we puncture the capsule and put it in a spoon or would it lose potency going through his stomach? I noticed that you have put the sweetener Sorbitol in it. Our son is on a strict diet with NO sugar. Do you offer it without the Sorbitol? Do you screen the Lyprinol for metals like Mercury to make sure there is none in there? Test certificates for this? Our son takes 2 teaspoons of cod liver oil per day. Would taking Lyprinol give him too many EFAs? What are the published side effect? Sorry for all the questions, but several parents of autistic children are considering this as a potential option since most autistic kids have gastro inflammation. This could be a great alternative to the prescription medicine which has so many side effects.
