It is a stinky oily based ointment that is made(If I remember right) that was

discovered as a byproduct of burning some sort of motor oil. It is of a

consistancy of vasaline, but is a burnt orange color. No God fearing southern

household doesn't have it....LOL....except mine(or at least I can't find

any!). It is used mostly for burns, but proclaims to cure almost anything. I

know people who swallow it to heal ulcers....No way would it ever pass my

lips....LOL.

I tried to find it on the net, but my spelling must be wrong. I can see the

red and white container, and smell it if I think about it. It does work for

burns, if you can stand the stink. had a bad burn from boiling tea

when she was a toddler. She made me trip(I had ran her out of the kitchen 3

times previously, and then she sneaked back in. It was a t least a 2nd degree

burn, I had no insurance, It blistered at first then turned red. I slathered

it in the ointment, and covered it with a clean diaper(no gauze and no money)

My Mother in law threw a fit 2 days later when the dead skin sloughed off and

it scabbed. She told me I was awful and guilted me into taking her to the

urgent care who looked at it, told me it looked good and wasn't infected, and

gave me a prescription for silvadene. It cost 110 dollars to figure out that

I was doing OK with treating her....
