I thought I would report about my 2 yr old . We are finally

getting the Valtrex in again and are again seeing improvements. (He

had been spitting it out and the gains were stopping). The rosy

cheeks are back again as is an increase in new language gains! He

said " Up " to his daddy, counted to three and said " down " as his daddy

threw him playfully on to the sofa. He laughed hysterically and must

have repeated this 20 times. He also grabbed his brother's brand new

and treasured backpack, taunting him, and said " backpack " and ran

down the hall laughing, trying to get Logan to chase him. I was happy

to see this after he had been less interactive for about a week. We

gave him his first dose of High Dose Vitamin A tonight (actually it

was about 2 hours before the incidents that I just told you about.) I

strongly suspect a measels connection with this little guy. We tried

12 sticks to get blood work on him, but couldn't so we don't have his

titers, but we are sure seeing something big going on here.

Logan who is on day 26 has a concentrated eczema looking patch with

small bumps, similar to one that had on his leg. His language

is improving a lot and his skin is looking a better color each day.

We are feeling very hopeful. I guess I didn't anticipate how it would

feel to start to see gains and want more and more. It is very

emotional. It is hard to be patient when it feels like yesterday was

not soon enough to get my boys back. I am just so thankful to be

seeing the gains that we are seeing. : ) Jeanine
