Another site (http://www.seniorjournal.com/NEWS/2001Misc/1-09-01Vitaimins.htm) says that the latest RDA is 150 micrograms per day. People here have mentioned putting a tsp into their gallon of drinking water a day. So, it would appear to me that in fact whole salt does provide enough iodine.
