Guest guest
I have followed various posts here about whether one should or should not feed kombucha to cats, with no definitive answers. I am more thinking about applying it externally. A good friend of mine has two Siamese cats. The female, abt 11 yrs. old, has cancer in her jaw. Several years ago she was attacked by a dog and ended up with a her pelvis broken in several places where arthritis seems to have set in. All these things have slowed her down, but she is still very loving and sometimes full of spunk. But over the last couple of years she also developed a skin condition; she sheds a lot of hair, has many bald spots, and is probably very itchy because she is continuously licking herself. Poor thing, it just breaks my heart to watch her. I wonder if kombucha tea, applied to the bare skin patches, would give her some releaf? Has anyone had any experience with this ? I would also offer scobies, but am hesitant because of the discussions on this board; after all it's not my cat and I don't want to be responsible if this makes her worse...; I sure would like to ease her discomfort.
