Guest guest
It was the dreaded Leg Day today. I did tell Noel about my wonky hip, showed him my dashing green kinesio tape and explained that it was from running. I don't know if he was easier on me or not but he was good about asking me if my hip was hurting throughout the lower body portion of the workout. Squats and hamstring curls don't bother it, it's walking and running that bothers it, it's a rotator issue. I guess if worse comes to worst I'll have to walk the Valentine Run, which will suck but I guess it's better than nothing.. Legs sucked of course, but not as bad as usual. Usually it seems like the shoulder work is more of an afterthought but this evening we did 5 sets on the machine (the one I really like) and as we made our way to the green lateral raise machine with the spongy rollers I requested we do free weights instead. Me and my big mouth. I don't know if it was the speed or angle at which we did these, it was only 10 lbs, but man was it hard! We went up to 15's for half a set but it was just too much, I had to do little hops to get momentum going to get them up there, so it was back down to 10's. In CLX I went heavier than this, but it was slow and heavy as opposed to this many reps and I also suspect that my shoulders were fatigued from white shoulder machine #1. I hope I'm sore in my shoulders tomorrow after all that! Tomorrow I hope to use the recumbent bike in the Sweat Shop or do some spinning after work at Studio LouLou. I think Fussy Hip will be okay with that. Not much else to relate Fitness wise. Trainer #3 still won't look me in the eye after all this time. It was nice to run into Third Eye Jiujitsu - he's looking leaner these days and it's really fun to watch these guys spar and wrestle in the MMA room. It kind of turns me on, actually. Chest and Triceps on the agenda for Thursday.
