Made the transition from Acyclovir to Valtrex

I though this information might be interesting and/or helpful. Our

son responded quite dramatically to a round of Acyclovir last month.

Last week, we 'upgraded' to Valtrex (thought this would be a good time

for a trial with Christmas break approaching). We were not expecting

to see much in the way of regression after experiencing the typical

regression/gains from Acyclovir. Today is day 7 of Valtrex, and the

regression symptoms are as follows: two bumpy red patches on neck and

shoulder (these fade and reappear AND did not occur on Acyclovir),

dark circles reappeared, visual stimming reappeared, early morning

waking returned, and sensory issues heightened (after disappearing on

Acyclovir).

Hoping the regression once again fades and developmental gains
