Hi Pamela,

Not only is Bison, beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, veal, tuna, wild salmon, scallops...safe to eat, it's delicious, very nourishing and feels great. Grass fed Bison is probably better than most meat you can get. Wholefoods and Jimbo's used to sell grainfed beef. It's totally ok to eat that raw too, but not nearly as good. I hardly ever eat any meat cooked anymore. It's very much like the raw vs pasterized dairy thing. Aajonus Vanderplanitz (that's his name) does occasional potluck lecture workshops on the primal diet, all over So. Cal. It will open your eyes even wider and there's lots of great food. I'd be happy to share some recipes if you'd like.

I eat lots of ground beef and beefalo here in Vermont. No Bison around here.

I started on that diet while I was living in San Diego several years ago. I'm 46 and most people think I'm in my late twenties or thirties. It's a great diet and includes raw dairy as well.
