Guest guest
I was not looking forward to the CLX cardio - Burn intervals because I didn't get my hr up.. thus I searched for replacementSo after watching my tivo of Biggest Loser (if anyone wants to talk let me know.. I LOVE new trainers .. I realized that boxing and kickboxing can be very low impact and they (like spinning ) really get my hr up.(on BL they were sitting doing uppers and were socked in sweat) .. Plus the talk of Tae Bo made me realize I never have done any of his workouts... So I pulled out a virgin.. Tae Bo Fat Burner Amped.. (10th anniversary edition?)This has a 80 min and 25 min workout. I am not ready for 80 so did the 25 min workout. These use the amp bar and as I was warming up I started that vidiot feeling .. ooh I need that amp bar... then realized.. I can use my weighted gloves from beach body! This was a great workout, and does typical sort of kickboxing drills. My only complaint is that the stretches are at the beginning..so I did tony's ten minute trainer yoga flex. . great stretch basically 10 moves in 1 each min.. felt good.. need to add some abs tonight or at work on my ball :)judy in DCps -- are you going to watch this new show.. Portlandia?... NPR did a piece on portland.. I really love it.. the best was when they went into organic dog store that sell all sorts of dog bones (lamb, cow etc) yet refused to sell leather leash hahah I really need to visit your city.. sounds like my kinda place.. Guest guest
Hi Judy!I love Tae-Bo! You can go to Home Depot and get a metal bar in the piping section that's 5 lbs (the amp'd bar is 3 lbs) My favorite TB workouts are the discontinued Live Advanced series on vhs. I too prefer the new trainers over Bob and Jillian, but I'm a kickboxer chick and prefer workouts with a martial arts bent.I haven't seen Portlandia yet, but yes it's a fun quirky place! Around Xmas we have a Drunken Santa day where everyone dresses up as Santa and goes Bar Hopping. Come and visit me sometime!
