Hi,

I don't know about anyone else, but my dd is just the opposite.. everything

HAS TO BE fair.. We have more problems with the kids playing games and the

others don't play fair in some way and she has a fit.. This includes whether

it is her or someone else being treated unfairly. I saw what you are talking

about in my younger bro though, when he was a kid he would do those types of

things and if it didn't go the way he wanted he would get in rages and pity

parties of " nobody loves me, everybody hates me.. etc. , he had ADHD.

We have a 9 y.o. son who has ocd. He also seems to have anger

control problems and playing fair. For instance, tonight he was

playing hide & seek with his friend. When it became his turn to

be " it " he screamed, " I hate you, " friend " , this isn't fair, etc.

etc. " He also told his friend that if he tagged him he would " sue

him and his family. " He also made an unkind remark about his

friend's mother to his friend. The friend and his parents are our

neighbors and friends. My question, is this common among other kids

with ocd? Any suggestions on anger management. Otherwise he's not

having a lot of obsessions at this time and is doing pretty well.

This is also a problem if he thinks someone can turn a better flip on

the trampoline or kicks the ball further. Any kind of competition

among friends really bothers him.

My DS seems to go both ways. It all depends on what he deems to be fair.

Sometimes it IS being meticulous about the rules...and other times it

is what he interprets the rules to be that he will get stuck on.

However, since adding Lexapro I have seen a real change in the

positive direction in all aspects. So far so good. Knocking on wood

over here.
