Guest guest
From my experience (my 5 yr old has been diagonosed with PDD and mood disorder and takes Ritalin (among other medications), one would use either Strattera or Concerta, not both. One response I received indicated that one or the other might do the job, and both were not needed. Thanks, Tony RE: [XXYNOY] Hello & Helen, How is your son doing on Strattera? What dose? Our 12 year old is on it, also. We added it to his Concerta. It wasn't what I had in mind when I asked for a trial of Strattera, but that's what the doc suggested. I'd rather drop the Concerta, if I could (it's basically Ritalin, on a timed-release dosage - a stimulant). Evidence that Strattera could replace the Concerta would be helpful. Guest guest
FWIW, Concerta is not cf. Perhaps that will factor into your decision. However, our experience with it has been great. I'd ask your doc if you can try one and then the other, to gauge their effectiveness. How would you be able to tell, otherwise, what's working?
