Guest guest
Hi Angie, I can't find on your website the info regarding how you have done the diet without honey and fruit, I just see general info on the diet, links, consult services, etc. Can you tell me what to click on? I would like to read how you have done this diet differently as we have had on it for 2 and half months and have found the hard way that honey, yogurt and other things are not good for (very phenol/salic intolerant child). thanks very much, Val
Guest guest
Dear Listmates, Dr. M posted the email at the bottom of this email a few weeks ago. I was so excited after reading it I decided it was worth a try to call Angie. We have been working with her for a little over a week and I am amazed at how her simple help has my child now eating veggies and drinking veggie juice, things I have been trying for over 4 years now with no success. She is FABULOUS in my opinion and I can not tell you what it does to my heart to watch my son eat squash with vegetable sauce while drinking spinach apple juice. Even on strict SCD he only had a few foods he would eat and now not only is he eating everything he acts like he just can not get enough. I highly recommend Angie for dietary help. We had been on gf/cf for over 4 years and on SCD for 10 months. We are seeing more normal stools than ever before. I know the SCD list has given her a bit of a hard time because she implements the SCD diet without honey but it is making all of the difference with my ASD son. Mina With permission I'm posting a mom's experience with SCD, since some of you are trying it for the 1st time. Jaquelyn Hi everyone, My children have been doing the scd diet for over 5 months , And doing great and becoming more typical children, but we were not able to do the standard scd diet by the book , that was used to heal GI issues , and bowel disease. We had to change the diet to fit our needs . My main goal was to starve the yeast and bad bacteria , buy electing not to use the honey and fruit , and limited amounts of carrots, and butternut squash. and my goal was to get some green vegetables into my children , so I did a lot of juicing and came up with great ways to sneak veggies into kids, and to make foods that were appealing to children .We saw in the very beginning that the fruit and honey were a problem for us , my kids would throw temper tantrums , and get really agitated , and when I pulled the fruit and honey , my kids were so calm , and a saw a sweet demeanor about them. If you are interested in reading more on our diet , you can visit my ! website , I've decided to use my experience and knowledge to help others. Good luck to everyone Angie McCauley Living For Your Child angie@...
