Guest guest
Hi everyone. How do you know if your child's titers are too high and warrant high dose Vitamin A therapy? We had my son's titers checked via a blood test about a year ago. His Rubeola AB IGG, EIA was 3.31 I.S.R. with a positive baseline being greater than or equal to 1.10 ISR. Is 3 times higher than the minimum too high? Should we be considering the high dose Vitamin A or is this OK? His Rubella was 2.42 ISR, with the postive baseline being greater than or equal to 1.10 ISR. Thanks for your help!!
Guest guest
Sorry to say there are no rules and few guidelines, which I have described many times on this board. High titers are important, so is the history, and so is the gut situation. As I have said before, this is new, experimental, and done because we know of no other way to kill measles virus other than mega-doses of Vitamin A. Jaquelyn Are these titers high enough for Vitamin A therapy? Hi everyone. How do you know if your child's titers are too high and warrant high dose Vitamin A therapy?
