Guest guest
, I bought it last weekend. It's called the propolis vaporizer and it's from Biopure. http://stores.homestead.com/BiopureHealingProducts/Categories.bok?category=Propolis+Vaporizers We haven't tried it yet but it wasn't horribly expensive and I wanted to put it in my sons room. I wasn't taking notes at the time (didn'tthink I had a mold prob) and now I can't find it in the lecture. I'vebeen skipping back and forth through the two hours of his secondlecture on my ipod and can't find the right place. If really need to watch the whole thing from start to finish again -but I want to order the unit ASAP! I moved a big wall-unit type bookcase in my son's bedroom and found a light gray stripe where onestructural beam was resting against the wall. I'm pretty sure it's nota rub mark because it has tiny black dots when you look at it with amagnifying glass. Ack - mold!I've had two Foust air filters running in the room for the last yearor so and occasionally a dehumidifier, depending on the readings on mycheap radioshack gauge. I don't think it's a recent growth - it couldhave been sitting there for years.I'm in the process of scrubbing it off with borax. It's just on thesurface and I'm trying not to get down to pre-1970's lead paintlevels. So many potential toxins - so little time.Anyone remember the name Klinghardt mentioned? I assume it's a UV typeunit, but I can't find one in the $150 range. Thanks for the help! Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos. Guest guest
Wow - thanks for the speedy reply. I LOVE the look of the wooden one (I'm really anti plastic) so I'll give them a call and find out if it's varnished/treated or just natural wood. Will look into what the unit is actually vaporizing as well...... ;-) > > , > > I bought it last weekend. Guest guest
How does this gadget rid mold? I am actually looking into doing something for my car right now. It spews mold out of the air conditioner, and of course it gags me. Plus I know its extremely unhealthy. I don't even want to turn the air conditioner on any more, so I am not. But, if anyone has any ideas on what to do, I am in need. I was looking at some retrofit thing where they change out the freon or something. Any suggestions? Heidi N ,I bought it last weekend. Guest guest
It's vaporizing natural glue from bee hives. This is really interesting! I found a website with he same products (plus one for the car), and more information: http://www.beehealthyfarms.com/HealthCare_GOEMButtons.htm If you feel like reading a bunch of studies from this website:( http://apitherapy.blogspot.com/2008/02/video-propolis-diffusers-purify-air.html) I have pasted them below ************************************ Exam made from the Italian National Health Service AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT The authors wanted to verify whether this combination releases volatile substances into the atmosphere which can reduce the microbial load of the air within a confined environment (in a school near of Turin-Italy) using Propolair, propolis vaporizers. RESULTS Using for 3 consecutive days the diffusers in to the schools and after to have analyzed the Air before and after the experimentation, some comments can be made on the antibacterial activity of sesquiterpenes. Utilizing Propolair diffusers there was a strong microbial load reduction (71,8% in 3 days). The possibly of using natural substances, without side effects, for the sanitation of the environment is certainly of great benefit. Scientific study about: Public Health Lab. Biotoxicological sectio, Local Healts Unit No. 5 in Grugliasco (Turin -Italy) in collaboration with Work Safety and Healt Service, Local Health Unit No.5 in Collegno (Turin – Italy) and Basic medicine Service, Local Health Unit No. 5 in Villarbasse (Turin – Italy). Published on: Biologi Italiani, February 1996 n°2 AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT An observational investigation was carried out in 1999 in a Milanese day nursery in order to evaluate not only the effectiveness of volatile propolis in terms of environmental sanitation (and, as a consequence, of prevention of respiratory infections) but also its tolerance in a children's community. During this study, which lasted three months (from January until March) the children's absences were first registered and then compared with those of the previous year during the same period. RESULTS Propolair propolis vaporizers had a positive effect in all our units. In fact, both a decrease in the number of children's absences to indisposition and a shorter duration of these absences were observed. No allergy manifestations or cases of intolerance occurred. On the contrary, it was been appreciate the fragrance given off by propolis vaporizers. In particular, In the month of February the number of presences is increased of 62,1% AIM OF EXPERIMENT The survey has been carried out in order to evaluate the possible differences of concentration of volatile substances, in particular those cancerogenous, present in the urban area through the determination of some pollutants typical of the car traffic, in premises equipped or not with Propolis vaporizer Propolair. The carried out tests point out, in premises with Propolis vaporizer, a slight decrease in concentrations of cancerogenous substances typical of the air in an urban center with car traffic. The IPA pollutions (expecially with Fluorantene and Pirene idrocarbons) decrease has been more than 70%. The Benezene pollution decrease has been 15%. After spreading propolis in these two environments, the number of colony forming units in the samples collected both from the pig farm and the poultry farm was significantly lower. A further reduction in the bacterial load was relieved, when propolis and incense were used together. On the basis of these preliminary data, we conclude that propolis (especially when containing a high concentration of sesquiterpenes) and incense can be employed in zootechnology, to sanitise the closed environments of breeding farms. A chemical analysis was carried out by us in order to determine the main components of the volatile fraction of propolis released into the atmosphere by PROPOLAIR. The identified components have been assembled into the following table. A research, whose data were extracted from Medline scientific data bank, has analyzed these components one by one. (see scientific bibliography in website: www.propolair.com) EXAMPLE: BENZYL ALCOHOL (present in all cycle of capsula propolair), demonstred an antifungingal activity NONANAL (also present in all cycle), showed a strong activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella Pneumoniae and Escherichia Coli. LINALOOL (present just in the first 24h of capsula propoliar) demonstred very strong antibacterial activity For each compound the data indicate its therapeutic validity and property together with the scientific experimentations carried out on it. *******************************************
Guest guest
, Dr Amy recommended the Niken - which has a hepa filter (Rita can you chime in if you remember there were 2 others as well) I do know Dr. Amy's Power point will be uploaded to Klinghardts website in the next month for everyone to go over Also she stated the BEST thing to use in your home to kill Mold was White vinegar. We have been doing this since seeing her 2 yrs ago, and it works awesome and actually leaves a pleasant smell. Lorina > > , > > I bought it last weekend. Guest guest
heidi - I just asked my husband what he thought of your question here is his suggestion for you go to a GOOD detail shop, and ask to ONLY get your car ozoneated this will rid ALL mold in the car have them keep car running an place your AC on low so that it will hit inside the AC. Corey also suggested that you should get your AC serviced first if you can - and having your car ozoneated should only cost between 50- 100.(maybe cheaper because your not getting the car detailed - just explain to them why your getting it done - Oh an he said if you offer them a cash price they may do it cheaper ) Hope this helps, Lorina > > How does this gadget rid mold?
