Guest guest
well I was at a 3 day agility trial affliated with a pet expo. My dogs were good. I had what I call "fat a#$" mistakes .. meaning I couldn't get where I needed due to my weight (or I was in the way...due to my size). The event was wild since a pet expo was going on lots of spectators and good dog gear shopping . The bad part was it was on concrete and standing all day from 7am to 4pm was tough on my body. I managed to do burn 3 with bands at hotel but did not do a good job. Looking forward to Push next weekI have a question.. is the SKOGG thing a kettlebell for beginners rotation? I couldn't find the dvds? anyway.. I didn't get P90X as my boyfriend said I wasn't decisive as that is what I wanted and he is right. I have concerns about impact level. So still contemplating next work. Hoping to get some cardio and yoga today in prep for ice storm tomorrowj
Guest guest
Hi Judy!I hope your eye is feeling better. I once scratched my cornea w/ an ill fitting pair of contacts - it hurt like heck and actually took a long time to heal and I couldn't wear my contacts for a few weeks - which was a bummer b/c I have really bad eyesight and contacts correct it better than glasses. (Plus, I learned that lenses also keep junk like pollen & other allergens out of your eyes b/c the whole time I was wearing my glasses my eyes burned!) Take care - Donna To: exercisevideos Sent: Sun, February 6, 2011 11:33:46 AMSubject: weekend report Friday I hurt my eye and basically was out all day.. ooh the pain!! Guest guest
I am terrified of wearing contacts and can't stand to watch people put them in! Lasik surgery? Forget it! I'll only do that for when I have cataracts someday! They should make workout videos for your eyes to strengthen them or something so that you don't need corrective lenses. Just a thought. Guest guest
Ow, Judy! I hope your eye is better! yea donna.. I have a weird face (for glasses) with cheek bones higher than my nose... because of this I have worn contacts since I was 8 years old.. so to me much easier.. I love contacts... mainly because I can change my eye color and for halloween I wear crazy ones.. love em.. just don't like when I get an injury like I had.. it hurts!!! really my cut from belly button all the way down was not as painful!!! all better now.. no weight loss this week but got lots of you look great last night and how much weight have you lost from friends.. so inches are coming down To: exercisevideos Sent: Sun, February 6, 2011 8:12:21 PM Subject: Re: weekend report Hi , I do believe there are exercises you can do to, in theory, improve your vision. But near sightedness (being able to see up close, but not far away) is actually almost like a " structural " condition where the image doesn't hit the proper part of your retina to see it clearly. Also, with astigmatism, it is the shape of your eye (cornea??) that is off - I think astigmatism is something you are born with. I only have it in one eye, but my DD has it in both eyes and, her astigmatism is pretty severe. Far sightedness as you get older is the result of a weakening of your eye muscles - Contacts really aren't too bad once you get used to them. I have worn them since high school. I'm a little leary of Lasik, though. So, as long as I can do contacts I'm ok w/ skipping the Lasik thing! However, If I couldn't wear contacts, I probably would get Lasik b/c I really just don't see well in glasses - and, as Judy noted, you have no peripheral vision w/ glasses.
