Guest guest
Kim: TTFD is not toxic per se; Dr. Lonsdale has worked on this for 17 years and has never seen toxicity. The only thing I can think of is that metals are being stirred up; has he already undergone some chelation? What do hair tests show, if you have done them? My inclination would be to cut the amount in half but to continue, unless you just can't stand it (and I know how that feels). If he is an allergic child, it is possible that he could be reacting to something in the carrier. If that's the case, then it would be better to stop. Hope things improve. Jaquelyn TTFD/Stimming & REgression Hello Dr. Mc & All Listmates: I started my 2.5 yr old son 5 days ago on TTFD (1/5 tsp 2x day) and yesterday he started doing some really strange things I ve never seen him do before; sideways squinting at things/laying on the floor looking at things upside down, decreased verbalization and focus. Is this normal or should I take him off it? I am really scared. He is/was pretty indistinguishable up until now. Thank you for your immediate reply. Guest guest
Thank you Sharon. I think I am going to have to stop it the TTFD for now though...I just hope the behaviours go away now. Kim
Guest guest
I of course cannot tell you how long it will last or whether you should stop the treatment, but I can tell you there has been no evidence of stirred up metals " settling " in the brain. The biggest complication of stirring metals up in removing them is the aggravation to the gut and the stimulation of yeast, and often this is the cause of " behaviors. " TTFD/Stimming & REgression Hello Dr. McCandless: Thank you for your reply. No, he has never undergone chelation. His hair tests showed high in cadmium, antimony, lead. As far as I know, no allergies except whole milk and peanut butter.............. Its almost like he has picked up more autistic traits now that he is on the TTFD. Is this common? If it is metals being stirred up, could they be settling in his brain to cause these very SCARY behaviors? How long will it last or should I stop the treatment now? Thank you again, Kim
Guest guest
Kim, If it helps, I'll share our experience with TTFD. We started back in Feb. and it was a mixed bag -- saw some nice improvements, but also hyperactivity, and gut bugs. It was the first detox type thing we had done (even though we had been well supplemented for a while). We did it for 4 weeks and then took a break for a month. We did it again for another 3 week period, again saw good stuff, but gut bugs became an issue (high yeast and clostridia per OAT). Both times we saw nice gains after gut bug issues were addressed. We started the TTFD again the end of Sept. and have used it continously with incredible stuff. We're using Aqua Flora and biocidin (along with others in occasional rotation)and keeping up a fair amount of probiotics. Gut health has varied, but WOW the progress. We have used GSH continuously all year. We've done the B12 shots and now tend to only give about 1 every two months. I give oral methycobalmin though a few times a week. So, for my son, starting TTFD stirred up some gut issues, mainly because his was so fragile and he's pretty toxic AND it was the first detox we did so his body had a lot adjusting. But hang in there and it's okay to do some gut health breaks if that's an issue. I wish you all could see where he was and where he is now... We still have a way to go, but he's the talk of all of the therapists and early intervention people. Guest guest
Increase your probiotics for several days and if you're not already doing some sort of gut bug killer rotation, you may want to consider it. This helped a lot for us. I really like biocidin and olive leaf extract... Sharon > Thank you Sharon.
