this was the first time I had an OAT test done by Metametrix through

Direct Labs and they had a recommendation sheet at the end for

supplements some of which I'm not currently using (a couple I thought

about but didn't yet)...So I didn't know if these were

recommendations I should try and then re-test in about 3 months...my

son had a lot of highs. I've had the Great Plains OAT done in the

past but these 2 reports are hard to compare. ALSO they said the

recommendations are for an adult so for a 35lb boy how much would I

give ? things they recommended that I am not currently giving him

included: 5HTP, arginine, carnitine, NAC, vanadium...comments ?

thanks

5HTP should be started in very small amounts and worked up slowly. Arginine can

aggravate herpes infections, so you need to just replace what comes in an amino

acid mix. NAC is an excellent anti-oxidant but can stir up yeast. Vanadium

should be in your minerals mix. Carnitine is good, I usually start kids on one

330mg cap a day, then two. Good mitochondrial food.
