Unfortunately through the grapevine, i have heard about no less than 3 mothers

being accused of munchhausens, in the last 4 months or so.

appalling - i thought this ridiculous label was eradicated but clearly not.

really, autism is synonymous with abuse in so many ways ( by 'professionals')

we are just supposed to be quiet and never raise any issues medically about our

children.

be wary

Where are these folks BB? I mean in the world, your end or ours?

Mx

Lets hope there is some common sense somewhere which will defend these poor people caught up in the process.

This kind of thing is'nt confined to autism or at least was'nt. I know

personally of cases where a health visitor seemed to be (to put it politely)

lining up MBP cases of NT children for her peadeatric consultant husband in a

major now royal hospital very near to where Andy Cutler will be speaking. This

was about 14 years ago and I had thought as you suggested that this kind of

thing was discredited but nothing surprises probably most of us.
