1. I am translating a set of university qualifications and I would like to get

the title of this thesis exactly right:

" Messung der aktiv entwickelten Kraft und der Längenänderung an einzelnen

isolierten Herzmuskelzellen "

I have translated this as: " Measuring the actively developed strength and the

alteration in length in individual isolated heart muscle cells " but is there

a more scientific way of saying this?

2. Systematik der Neuroradiologie (CT, SA, NMR)

(a) Is there a better word than Systematics for Systematik?

( What is SA ? All I can find by google search is 'stent assisted'

usually refers to " cells in cultre, cultured cells " )

---> could this be a typo for *SG* - Sonographie? I cannot find anything

meaningful for SA in this context.

Thanks Heribert and Astrid for your comments

It looks like the A in SA in definitely angiographie then. I intend to leave

the (CT,SA,NMR) as is but I want to explain them in a footnote. As for the

year, the text is from the summer semester of 1994. I see there are a lot of

hits on google search for (digital) subtraction angiography so that's what I

will use.

I don't know what you're translating, but it sound's quit old(fashioned).

NMR is quite unusal, normally MRT or KST is used in German. SA must mean

" Subtraktionsangiographie " , but I've never heard that there's another way to

do it than digitally, so it's normally DSA (Digitale

Subtraktionsangiographie)
